One of the top trends in watches is that of ‘jewelry that tells time’. No longer is functionality enough, watches are bedazzled and beblinged with diamonds, gems and whole lot of precious metal.
If you’re waiting to hit the sales to pick-up an iced-out timepiece, then this probably isn’t the watch for you. But, if your stocking was stuffed with greenbacks – $25 million of them, then Swiss-based Chopard has just the watch for you.
The watch, reportedly the most expensive in the world features three heart-shaped diamonds weighing 38 carats (15-carat pink heart diamond, a 12-carat blue heart diamond and 11-carat white heart diamond). These diamonds are embedded into a bracelet, which is adorned with other white and yellow diamonds weighing 163 carats.
