It may have been aged in barrels for more than a century.

It may, as it’s makers would have us believe, even truly be the ‘DNA’ of cognac but please, is there anyone out there who would consider almost $2 million a fair price for a bottle of cognac?

The world’s most expensive cognac is up for grabs for a mere $1,982,300. This ultra expensive liquor is housed in a handcrafted crystal liquor bottle dipped in 24 K yellow gold and platinum and decorated with 6,500 brilliant cut diamonds.

Inside this diamond-encrusted bottle, created by jeweller Jose Davalos, is a 100 cl. of Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne. Well, at least the bottle is a prime contender for re-cycling.
