Gucci has just announced the new ‘face’ of their 2008 jewelry campaign.

Following in the footsteps of Gucci’s first celebrity promoter – Drew Barrymore
– the Italian luxury group has opted for one of young Hollywood’s best in the
hope she’ll attract some new Gucci followers. The company recently announced
that Clare Danes will be the face of their new campaign due to hit publications
in the Fall.

According to Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, her ‘sensual, confident
beauty and her passionate, independent and strong character embodies today’s
Gucci woman.’

Gucci is by no means the first high-end jewelry collection that has a famous
face as the ‘muse’ for their gems. British rock-maker Stephen Webster recently
zeroed in on Christina Aguilera as his muse.
