Her diamond engagement ring was the only sign of wedding bells for Beth Ostrosky and her shock jock, Howard Stern since news broke of their engagement in February 2007.
But last week the bling finally took a glorious trip down the aisle.
The 5.2 carat emerald cut diamond is estimated to be worth close to $300,000 and was designed especially for Ms. Ostrosky by Richie Winnick.
Guests Kelly Ripa (whose hubby, Mark Consuelos, officiated the ceremony), Joan Rivers, Donald Trump, Billy Joel, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel and Barbara Walters all showed their support for radio’s royalty at a lavish ceremony in one of New York’s most exclusive restaurants, Le Cirque – an eclectic guest list to say the least.
Songwriter Phoebe Snow serenaded the newlyweds with “You Send Me”, Billy Joel crooned “The Stranger”, and pal, Chevy Chase, apparently gave a bawdy toast to the happy couple.
“Beth is the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen,” said Stern pal Dominic Barbara. “The vows were from each others’ hearts. It was gentle and soft and beautiful. People were crying.”
“I danced with Howard,” said a giddy Joan Rivers after the festivities. “The wedding was fabulous, everyone had a great, great time.”
Oh, to be a fly on the wall…
Here’s hoping ‘bawdy meets beautiful’ is a winning combination for these newlyweds. So far, so good.
