MTV reality show phenoms, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, officially tied the knot on Saturday in Pasadena, and the ever-present cameras were there to capture their every glittering move.
The 22-year-old bride and 25-year-old groom were joined by about 200 guests, including The Hills costar Audrina Patridge and pal Frankie Delgado, according to People.com. Lauren Conrad was a no show.
Heidi wore a Monique Lhuillier couture strapless dropped waist ball gown with an intricate overlay of silk organza peacock feathers, the designer said in a statement.
And she stopped by the famous Neil Lane jewelry boutique in Beverly Hills the day before to pick out thousands of dollars in diamond bling, including diamond earrings, layered cuffs, hairpins and a pear-shaped, multi-layered vintage diamond necklace. Pratt sported a black suit and borrowed diamond cuff links from the jeweler.
After their fake Mexican beach wedding five months ago and a rocky season so far, fans of The Hills have been rooting for the blondes to break up, but the happy couple apparently resolved their differences in time to make a ratings bonanza for the reality show.
A representative for MTV released this statement:
“MTV wishes Heidi and Spencer the best and can’t wait to share their wedding with The Hills fans later this season.”
What’s next for the happy couple after the honeymoon? More reality show madness as they join disgraced Governor, Ron Blagojevich, and the illustrious cast of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me out of Here!
Somehow, we’re not surprised.
