There “ain’t no other jeweler” for Christina Aguilera than luxury designer, Stephen Webster. And she proved it by hosting the launch of his 2009 jewelry collection with a glittering VIP soiree in Vegas, baby.
Aguilera arrived at hotspot, TAO Las Vegas, in the Venetian Hotel adorned in
head-to-toe Webster baubles, including a black and white diamond couture necklace and cuff from the Vortex Collection as well as a white diamond and onyx ring from his Fly By Night Collection.
The 28-year-old songstress has always been a fan of Stephen Webster’s jewelry.
“As a fellow artist, I’m always inspired by the jewelry Stephen creates each season,” Christina told reporters. “I’m in awe of the intricacies of his designs, and while each collection evolves from the last, he always stays true to his signature glam-rock style.”
Webster pieces have attracted a blue-chip portfolio of other celebs like Cameron Diaz, Johnny Depp, Sir Elton John, Jay Z, Ozzy Osbourne, Nicholas Cage, Michael Stipe, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Pink and the doyenne of diamond divas, Elizabeth Taylor.
“My clients like to wear things that provoke questions,” says the British-born Webster. “They aren’t wallflowers, they’re entertainers – they want to make a statement.”
Aguilera made note that her two favorite Stephen Webster pieces were sentimental ones: her engagement/wedding set and a ring that was her first mother’s day present after the birth of her son.
While in Vegas, the designer was also honored with the “Best of Diamonds” award at the 2009 Couture Design Awards, for his a one-of-a-kind diamond cascade necklace from his Jewels Verne fine jewelry collection.
