The Jewelry Insider

From Hollywood icons to Tinseltown muses, the Women in Film awards brought the best female actors, writers, producers, and directors together to honor their accomplishments in their male-dominated industry.

One thing the fellas never dominate is a red carpet, and the women in film made a glamorous showing. Hoop earrings shined bright on the ears of Jenny McCarthy, Holly Hunter, Debi Mazar and more.

And the season’s latest jewelry trend – bold color – came out to play on a lovely Heather Locklear in amethyst chandeliers, Poppy Montgomery in aqua and Ippolita 18k gold bangles and Keke Palmer in peacock chic.

But it was the metallic mavens who won the night, led by our favorite Friend, Jennifer Aniston, in a shiny Prada dress accessorized by nothing but her self-deprecating sense of humor.

“You have increased the visibility of women in film, and we thank you for that,” said host Chelsea Handler, presenting the actress with the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film. “You’ve recently decreased the visibility of John Mayer, so we thank you for that.”

Taking the joke well, she took the stage and compared the evolution of her life to her movie titles, “The Good Girl”, “Rumor Has It”, “Derailed”, and the “The Break-Up”.

She then joked, “If anyone has a movie called ‘Everlasting Love With an Adult Stable Man’ – I’m at table six, and my agents are at table 12.”

In the meantime, the sisters in Hollywood will continue to do it for themselves. And you can rock their looks for less right here on Jewelry.com.
