Got a few hundred grand lying around? If so, grab a portrait of your favorite A-lister – made entirely from diamonds and gemstones.

While Marilyn Monroe made ‘Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend’ the iconic song it is today, we’re sure she never had anything like this in mind.

A British company, Gemstone Creative, is offering their well-heeled customers portraits of their favorite stars made entirely from diamonds and gemstones. From Marilyn Monroe or Barack Obama to Her Majesty, The Queen herself, Gemstone Creative can recreate any photo into a glittering portrait worth hundreds of thousands for your living room wall.

Mosaic artists and jewel cutters spend weeks carefully recreating photos using a selection of 0.25 carat round diamonds and precious gemstones set into a silver, gold or platinum base.

Portraits start from around 8ins x 8ins and contain at least 2,600 stones but can be as large as 24ins X 24ins requiring an extraordinary 22,500 gems. Prices range from $5,000 to millions – depending on the size and materials used.

“The concept of using precious stones in mosaic artwork has been around for centuries,” according to the company’s website.

“Gemstone Creative is a new and exciting company that takes the lead from these classical examples of fine craftsmanship and gives the concept a contemporary twist.”

So forget about that mortgage payment and dwindling college fund – grab a sapphire-studded Elvis or a diamond-encrusted Lady Gaga for your stocking stuffer this year.
