A Dallas bakery is breaking price records with a jewelry-encrusted wedding cake that comes with its own set of armored guards.

Diamond jewelry is the centerpiece of any wedding, but a jewelry store in Dallas is taking the sentiment to ridiculous – and delicious – new heights.

Collaborating with Delicious Cakes, Dallas Gold and Silver Exchange created a giant, 9-tier wedding cake with over 1200 (!) carats of diamonds and sapphires. And the price tag? A whopping $1.3 million.

The cake was displayed at the Dallas Bridal Show last weekend and could serve about 320 people – that’s about $3125 per slice if you’re counting.

“We wanted to do something different this year,” Butch Stivers, owner of Delicious Cakes told NBC news. “With the economy being bad – and we do the Dallas Bridal Show so many years – we wanted to do something that the new brides-to-be could see and dream about and get their minds off everything else that’s going on.”
