The British Oscars, otherwise known as the BAFTAs, is a stunning indication
not of who will walk away with the big O in a few weeks, but what they’ll be
wearing on the Red Carpet walk of fame. If the jewels and dresses seen on the
red-carpet in London a few days ago are a precursor to Oscar’s opulence – then
expect diamonds, silks, body-hugging glam-dresses – but nothing that’ll be
notably ‘wow!’
The Hurt Locker gave Avatar a case of the blues when it scoped the Best Movie
award, Colin Firth – a home-country love – unsurprisingly picked up the BAFTA
mask for Best Actor and Carey Mulligan scored the top spot as Best Actress for
her role in The Education.
But enough of that – down to business. Jewelry business that is. As always,
Kate Winslet was glamorously perfect accessorizing a black Stella McCartney
dress with Tiffany diamond and onyx earrings, a diamond cuff bracelet and Roger
Vivier clutch.
If Tiffany’s is a bit of a your price range – try these black onyx earrings
from Sears for just $112.50
For the diamond bracelet bling – we found this red-carpet stunner from
Gordon’s at just $211.65
Gabourey Sidibe was Precious in a beige silk fitted dress and a drop-dead
diamond dazzler of a necklace…
Claire Danes also turned to Tiffany for her pear-shaped graduated diamond
drop earrings to go with a stunningly sleek Burberry dress.
