It doesn’t get any more glamorous than The Met’s Costume Institute Gala. From Oprah and Anne Hathaway to Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker, see how the A-List sparkled in style.

Jewelry on the red carpet doesn’t get much bling-ier than the sparkle shining from The Metropolitan Museum’s annual Costume Institute Gala. Hosted by fashion and media bigwigs, Anna Wintour and Oprah Winfrey, The A-list came out flex their fashion muscles and celebrate the opening of the museum’s latest style exhibit “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.”

Red carpet stalwarts dazzled – like Anne Hathaway in Valentino and Bulgari jewels, Sarah Jessica Parker in champagne Halston with Fred Leighton vintage diamonds and Claire Danes in Burberry and Fred Leighton.

Newcomer, Katy Perry, made tongues wag with her Lorraine Schwartz statement necklace and LED dress that literally lit up the red carpet. And couples akimbo kept the rumor-mill buzzing – like the reunited Sienna Miller and Jude Law, uber-pair Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady and the ‘still together’ Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake.

But the head-spinning star power didn’t stop there. Huge names like Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Taylor Swift, Jessica Alba, Diane Kruger, Blake Lively and more made a glamorous showing. The only fashionista missing was Madonna, whose bunny-eared fashion faux pas at last year’s Met Gala might have made her a bit gun shy? (Gaga was there to perform but didn’t walk the carpet.)
