Glamour Meets Gaudy at the Race to Erase MS

The Hilton sisters sizzled. Many others fizzled. See the jewelry fashion winners and losers at the ‘Race to Erase MS Benefit’ in LA. The hottest ticket in town this weekend was millionairess Nancy Davis’ Race to Erase MS Benefit at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. An eclectic cast of characters paid $1,000 a plate to help raise over $2 million for the worthy cause.

Not so worthy? Some of the jewelry and fashion choices on display.

Glam-a-zon Hits

Paris and Nicky Hilton were among the best dressed, sporting metallic frocks
and classic diamond jewels – Paris, as
always, had the highest carat count with
diamond dangle earrings and a set
of icy bangles.

Sophia Bush, Deborah Gibson, Brooke Burke and Kelly Hu each brought the
statement earring trend to life with geometric shapes, shimmering chandeliers
and hot, hot hoops.

Gaudy Misfires

Unfortunately, some stars opted for either too many jewelry layers (Melissa
Rycroft and Avril Lavigne), the wrong jewelry statement (Nancy Wilson) or
mismatched jewels like the turquoise necklace/diamond dangler combo on actress,
Kelly Rutherford.
