Renown sculptor, Anish Kapoor, re-invigorates
Bulgari’s B.zero1 ring for its 10th anniversary, and the result is a
sleek cylinder style worthy of the A-list.
design has always been the forte of luxury house,
Bulgari, so it comes as no
surprise that designer, architect, and sculptor extraordinaire, Anish Kapoor, is
their first celebrity collaboration.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the collection, Kapoor
re-interpreted Bulgari’s best-selling B.zero1 ring, a style launched in 2000
with over 1,000,000 units sold to date.
According to their
recently launched ‘Bzero1’ interactive site,
“Anish Kapoor’s greatest contribution features the original combination of
pink gold and reflecting steel surfaces. His interpretation merges tradition
with contemporary innovation. The curved forms and the mirror-like surfaces,
characteristic of his artworks, find shape in this new design which perfectly
represents the contemporary Bulgari style.”
The B.zero1 special edition ring also comes in
two ceramic variations in either black or white and
retails for $890. Bulgari continues to
offer other versions of the ring in
pave diamonds, white gold and yellow gold.
The Kapoor-designed ring will also serve as inspiration for
a sculpture the architect will create to be auctioned this spring, with all
proceeds benefiting Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future Campaign.
