From Natalie Portman to Angelina Jolie, jewelry fashion on the red carpet hit a high note at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. See all the hot trends coming from Hollywood.

The 2011 Golden Globe Awards red carpet was a fashionista’s feeding frenzy of gorgeous gowns and crazy carats.

While sparkles and sequins prevented some of our favorite fashion plates from wearing a lot of bling (Anne Hathaway, Olivia Wilde, Angelina Jolie), we found plenty of diamonds to drool over.

Statement earrings continue to shine bright during Awards Season, with stars like Leighton Meester (Cathy Waterman), Catherine Zeta Jones (Van Cleef & Arpels) and Sofia Vergara (David Webb)  wearing the look to perfection.

While necklaces were few and far between, the styles that did make the cut were delicate, web-like creations like these looks on Natalie Portman in Tiffany, Glee‘s Diana Argon in Cathy Waterman, or Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland in Mikimoto.

The mega-watt diamond divas this year were Helen Mirren in a $1.6 million Cartier diamond necklace, Halle Berry in $2.7 million diamond bangles from Harry Winston and Jennifer Lopez in $5 million of Harry Winston bling, including a pair of gorgeous starburst diamond cluster earrings.

And turquoise hues made a surprise appearance on Kyra Sedgwick (Ofira), Nicole Kidman (Fred Leighton) and Lea Michele, who sported the night’s most bling-tastic cocktail ring from Lorraine Schwartz.

While emerald was big this year, it came in the form of a dress color not a gemstone. Pink was also a fashion favorite as was fire engine red and basic black.
