Pantone’s Fall 2012 Color Trend Report

It’s Fashion Week in NYC and while the colors and styles of Spring 2013 are making their way down the catwalk, we can’t forget that Fall 2012 is fast approaching – bringing its own autumnal wheel of colors and fashion trends.

As the dog days of summer quickly come to a screeching halt in a few weeks, it’s the perfect time to grab some fashion-forward fall bling, taking cues from the fashion greats as well as color experts at Pantone.

Tangerine Tango, named color of the year for 2012, proves that brights are in this fall and that, yes, orange JUST might be the new pink for all you Elle Woods’-types out there. When it comes to your jewelry box, make a statement with a Padparascha Sapphire or a Mystic Topaz jewel.

Hold onto that summer feeling just a little longer with Pink Flamb?, and Bright Chartreuse, both bright colors achievable with Pink Sapphire or Tourmaline and Peridot.
Last spring we saw shades of blue everywhere from Paris to New York as a fall front-runners, so it’s no surprise that Olympian Blue has made Pantone’s list.¬†Whether you are looking to brighten up or tone down an ensemble, Sapphire, Blue Topaz or Aquamarine are a go-to stone.

Citrine and champagne diamonds continue to be a staple in your fall jewelry box, and Honey Gold and French Roast give us an alternative to black and bright yellow.

Rhapsody, a grayed-down purple and Rose Smoke a pale rose tone also make the cut, and we predict these colors will find their way onto the list for 2013 as we have already seen these tones rock the runway for Spring 2013.

Be sure to check back after fashion week as we round up all the trends to look forward to this coming spring!
