A heart-wrenching breakup with Emily Maynard on last summer’s ‘The Bachelorette’ made Dallas native Sean Lowe a shoe-in to become the next, and 17th, ‘Bachelor’ on ABC. Women across the country tuned in every Monday to watch the love stories unfold between Sean his 26 hopefuls.
In the end it was down to Catherine Giudici, a graphic designer from Seattle, WA and Lindsey Yenter, a substitute teacher from Fort Bragg, NC. The endless laughter and sneaky love notes eventually helped Catherine become the recipient of Sean’s heart, the final rose, and a gorgeous engagement ring by none other than ‘Bachelor’ jeweler himself, Neil Lane.
Early reports have the stunning diamond ring marked at around 4 carats and costing a whopping $76,000. The ring is expected to be cushion-cut with a halo of micro-pave diamonds framing the center stone and lining the sides of the band.

Now, usually the ‘After the Final Rose’ special gives ‘Bachelor’ enthusiasts a good idea as to whether a break up is on the horizon, thus forcing the couple to return the bling. From what we can tell, Sean and Catherine seem perfectly in love, excited to hold hands in public and plan their…wait for it… TV wedding! And as if Sean hasn’t had enough face time in front of a camera in the past year, he just confirmed to Good Morning America this morning that he will also be joining the upcoming cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (naturally).
As for the next gal to give a shot at finding true love on reality TV, fan favorite Desiree Hartsock will be the next Bachelorette, continuing her quest for true love on May 20.
