Free Diamonds. ‘Nuff Said

What’s better than diamond jewelry? Free diamond jewelry.

It kinda doesn’t get any better than that, right? And while I could go on and on about how investing in your own jewelry collection is empowering and all that – the truth is? It’s MUCH better when all you have to do is click a few buttons and wait for the UPS guy to ring your doorbell.

My favorite Diamond Diva. Who’s yours?

So – without further ado – here is how a jewelry hound can get said free diamonds.  My sugar momma, Jewelry.com launched their Diamond Diva Sweeps today and they’re handing out a 1/2 ct diamond right hand ring worth a cool $1749 this time around.

Not too shabby.

Click here to enter (it’s free, people) and check their Facebook Page on Monday, November 7th where they’ll announce the winner.

Easy. Breezy. Bling-tastic!  Good luck, and weigh in here with any ideas you have for their next giveaway. They picked the piece their Facebook Fans like the best the last time – so just let me know what piece YOU want to win and I’ll make sure they get the word.

Pearl Jewelry at the Purrrfect Price

Free jewelry. Other than ‘cocktail hour’ and ‘lottery win’ I can’t think of two words in the English language I’d rather hear. So I’m spreading the news that my sugar mamma, Jewelry.com, just launched their latest Sweepstakes extravaganza with three blingy jewels up for grabs.

June is all about pearls in the jewelry world. It’s this month’s birthstone, it’s “the” go-to graduation gift and brides-a-kimbo put them on to walk down the aisle. So wouldn’t you know it? Jewelry.com decided to center their sweepstakes around it (savvy sparkle sellers that they are).

It’s called the “Purrrrfect Pearl Sweepstakes”, and there are three very worthy pieces up for grabs.

Pearl & Diamond Necklace in 14K Gold. (Retail Value: $679.00)
Pearl and Black & White Diamond Ring in 10K White Gold (Retail Value $579)
Pearl Clover Earrings in 10K Gold with Diamonds (Retail Value: $199)

All you do is visit the Jewelry.com Facebook Page to enter or click here. You can also shop their Purrrfect Pearl Collection that features some of their hottest pearl styles at up to 80% off retail – a refreshingly strand-free stash that has lots of fashion forward finds.

But first and foremorest (as my dad always used to say) “You can’t win if you don’t play.” Words to live by in the jewelry hunt, playing the lottery – and in life.

Did I mention there’s FREE JEWELRY?

(just sayin’)

The Jewelry Insider

January 10, 2009

Awards season for celebrities means lots of galas, gowns and – of course – giveaways. Swag bags that were once a small token of an awards show’s affection have ballooned into a prize worth more than a year’s salary in most circles.

And ‘bags’ don’t really begin to describe the suitcases full of loot the stars get to schlep home after the festivities. In fact, there are entire swag rooms, or ‘gift suites’, the celebs can stroll through to pick up anything from free spa weekends and handbags to electronics and fine jewelry. Sounds rough.
According to Yahoo!’s OMG, some of stars spotted trolling the gift suites this year were “Swag Hag”, Debra Messing; “Gossip Girl”, Michelle Trachtenberg; and our favorite mom, Jessica Alba, who apparently fell in love with a woven, diamond-studded bracelet from Tacori. Other stars ogled conflict-free, earth-friendly fine jewelry from Precious Earth, and glittering gems from Touchstone Crystal.

And Best Actress nominees will be presented with a sparkly compact created by L’Oreal with help from colored-gemstone manufacturer Carelle, says National Jeweler. The compact features lemon citrine and pale-green quartz stones set in 18-karat yellow gold with diamond details. In addition to the nine compacts gifted to the likes of Angelina Jolie and new rival, Anne Hathaway, one last compact will be auctioned off on eBay.com to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation during the Golden Globes broadcast.

So while we’re watching sympathetically when the losers in each category get sloppy drunk on Moet and try desperately to get within Brad Pitt’s sightline, it’s best to remember that these artists may not have everything – but they can all powder their noses in style. For free.
