We’re sure you have all heard about the event of the year already. You know what we’re talking about (at least we hope you do)… – Kimye’s wedding! That would be Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

From the pre-wedding brunch at designer Valentino’s French chateau, to the rehearsal dinner at the Palace of Versailles (yup, you read that correctly), and the actual wedding ceremony in Florence, Italy, the entire Kardashian clan was decked out in Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. The designer, who is one of the most sought-after jewelry designer’s in the world, is actually one of Kim’s close friends (of course she is).
Here are some of our favorite Lorraine Schwartz jewels from the wedding. We wouldn’t mind owning at least one of these gorgeous pieces!

Schwartz designed the celeb couple’s wedding bands herself. Kim’s ring was a handmade diamond band, while Kanye’s was a handmade gold band. Kim accessorized her wedding outfit with her 15 carat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring, and a pair of Martin Katz 18K gold diamond earrings accented by 100 smaller diamonds. The earrings were actually a present Kanye gave Kim more than a year ago. Aw!

High fashion, diamond jewelry, Liza Minnelli – three of my favorite things lit up Radio City Music Hall last night to celebrate the debut of Sex And The City 2. And while rumor has it the fashion in the film is a bit disappointing (don’t quote me – haven’t seen it yet), the fab four of the female franchise all rocked the red carpet in style.

Let’s start with SJP – a vision in bright yellow Valentino, newly blonde locks and a sun-kissed look that screams, “I’m a big star”.

She is a fan of the layered diamond bracelet (see her 2010 Oscar ensemble for more), and used the look here since the dress’s neckline didn’t support a statement piece.

I kindof love the yellow flow here – it’s a surprise without being annoying (like that controversial flower hat contraption she wore to the London premiere of the first movie. No, SJ. We haven’t forgotten.)

Kim Catrall channeled old Hollywood glam in a metallic Naeem Khan gown with elegant diamond drop earrings and a diamond bracelet to match.

Cynthia Nixon kept things simple in a strapless black Carolina Herrera frock with a bejeweled leaf embellishment and black and white diamond drop earrings.

And my personal favorite – this Audrey Hepburn-esque vision in pink – Kristin Davis in a vintage Jean Desses dress from the 1950s made current by some diamond Fred Leighton drop earrings. Yay.

Who was your favorite of the foursome? Are you a ‘Carrie’? A ‘Miranda’? A ‘Charlotte’? Or a ‘Samantha’? Weigh in!

What would entice some of Hollywoods hottest divas to spend an evening in a museum? Designer clothes and a movie of course. Blondes, brunettes and razor thin silhouettes turned out in force to honor the last Emperor of fashion and catch a movie premiere.

Special effects be gone – this one was all about the clothes….. Valentino’s clothes. The documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor, debuted in New York last night at the Museum of Modern Art with an audience of hard-core fashionistas, wanna-be fashionistas, muses, critics and the seriously beautiful.
Valentino is renowned for his penchant for all things – well all things extravagant. He’s never been one to nod in the direction of minimilism. The septuagenarian designer, with his perma-orange tan, is known for his outlandish sense of more is more and less isn’t by any means more. The movie, (which has been receiving mixed reviews – depends I suppose on where you stand on the more or less side of the scale) shows the man’s six pugs on board their master’s private jet, having their teeth brushed and being adorned with diamond earrings.

Doggy diamond earrings, now there’s a thought (that should be banished).

Last night it was a diamonds on divas – not dogs that were causing a rucus. Surprisingly not as much bling as one would expect in an evening devoted to the Emperor himself.
Madonna, Gwyneth, Anne and Agyness were on hand to bow before the Emperor. Madge sporting a knuckleduster ring and looking as ageless as ever. Gwyneth in her signature black – and Ms. Hathaway knocking ’em all for six in a stunning white dress and just the right amount of bling………

Score one for the brunettes last night….way to go Anne.
