There’s been a celebrity engagement ring dry spell so far this summer until (drumroll….) this week two heavy hitters announced they’re officially off the market: Fashion Police‘s purple-haired pixie, Kelly Osbourne, is engaged to vegan chef boyfriend, Mathew Mosshart, and (sorry, ladies) Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine proposed to his Victoria’s Secret-model girlfriend, Behati Prinsloo.

Kelly Osbourne, no fashion wall-flower, designed her own engagement ring to match an earring worn by her rocker father, Ozzy.

“I designed it to look like an earring that my father wore,” she gushed to Hello! Magazine. “I used to hold my finger up to his ear when I was little and say, ‘I want a ring like that.’ Now I have one!”

And just when you think Adam Levine is going to go for the stereotypical solitaire to match his stereotypical choice in soul mate? He throws us a curve ball by offering up a stunning vintage sparkler from the 1930s.

Says Prinsloo of her ring finger bling to Extra!,

“It’s from the 1930s. I was very giddy. I was speechless. It was a beautiful moment.”

It’s hard for me to find the right words to describe how I’m feeling about your good fortune, Behati.

I WILL say that Adam Levine is on to something: Vintage jewelry is still trending after over a year on the hit list.  Check out the Very Vintage Collection I curated on Jewelry.com, which has some vintage-inspired rocks on the block that will take the sting out of yet another Victoria’s Secret model having all the fun.

This vintage-inspired 1/3 Carat Diamond Flower Ring in 10K Gold doesn’t come with a Maroon 5 frontman, but it also doesn’t judge your singing voice and expect you to wear wings down a runway in your skivvies. AND you can drop the price from $1,279 to $299 with code PREMIER at checkout (shhhhhhh!). Celebrate!

What do you guys think of the celebrity rocks? Weigh in!

Love her or hate her, uber-fashionista, Rachel Zoe, is fast becoming the empress of her own sartorial domain. In between filming her Bravo! show, The Rachel Zoe Project, and styling Hollywood’s A list, including Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore, People.com reports that Zoe is getting the ‘witch vibe’ for her own full-range clothing line.

We die!

While collection details are still top secret, Zoe promises a complete line that includes clothing, bags, fragrance, and – of course – jewelry. And price points won’t be as crazy stratospheric as her well-heeled clientele can afford.

“It will be absolutely, 100% accessible fashion for sure — for everybody.” Zoe explained.

“There’s no reason for me to do a luxury-level design. That’s not who I am. I don’t think it’s what people want from me. I think that I would need to give people that fantasy becoming a reality. That’s my job.”

Awww, she’s thinking about us huddled masses yearning to find deals.

And if you can’t wait to see what jewelry Zoe offers up (the collection launches next year), the fashion maven recently cleaned out her jewelry box to benefit the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. You can bid now on pieces she designed for Judith Leiber along with costume jewelry straight from her drawers on eBay’s DecadesTwo store and www.decadestwo.com.

And fans of the show will go bananas for news that the second season is scheduled to air sometime mid-year. Bring on the Brad bow-tied meltdowns!

Not to worry JT fans. It’s not THE diamond. Not yet, anyway. Superstar lovebirds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel made their Roman holiday a lot brighter this week with a stop at an exclusive, unmarked jewelry store that specializes in pieces from the 1950s and 1970s.

People Magazine reports that Justin picked up a diamond bracelet and a diamond right hand ring for his talented love interest – both from the 1970s.

The couple spent about an hour in the shop and asked the sales assistant to empty the safe with all their best merchandise. Biel apparently tried on every piece in the store before making her selections.

A woman after my own heart!

At one point, Justin started serenading her with a song from her latest film – a period piece called Easy Virtue – while Biel tried on a vintage diamond necklace from the 17th century.

Yes, that’s gag-worthy it’s so cute, and yes it’s my personal fantasy come to life.

“I could tell they had very refined taste because they asked about the history of all the jewelry,” shop owner Nicola Boncompagni told People. She added that the couple seemed “shy but in love.”

Awww….

So are wedding bells in their future? A recent quote from the actress reveals her ambivalence.

“The actual idea of signing those papers and doing all this stuff … I’ve never been someone who’s like, ‘I have to, have to, have to have it.’ But the idea of being with somebody I care about, who is my soul mate, that sounds groovy!”

So does a lifetime of JT serenades and jewelry shopping sprees. Get into the groove, girlfriend!

Hot pink, diamonds and cosmos were the winning triumvirate at the DVD launch party this week for our favorite summer flick, Sex and the City: The Movie. The fête took place at – where else? – the New York Public Library now known to fans as the ‘scene of the crime’.

SJP channeled her inner Audrey Hepburn with a little black dress, hot pink pumps, black gloves and diamonds to die for. We love the vintage diamond choker look with the Palin-esque updo. And the bangs are working for you, sister.

Also on the pink carpet were co-stars Cynthia Nixon, wearing the current long chain trend to its minimalist best, and, of course, Kim Cattrall whose plunging neckline made her no necklace/only earrings choice a wise one. Missing was the fourth musketeer, Kristin Davis, but we’re crossing our fingers the recent buzz about a sequel will bring the gal pals back together soon.

“It’s very easy to make a sequel,” Parker explained. “Everybody’s ready, and obviously the studio is excited about it, which is very flattering to us, but you can’t just do it for that reason. You have to tell a good story.”

What a tease!!

In the meantime, we SATC junkies can OD on the DVD extras, which include an extended cut featuring many movie moments that hit the cutting room floor. And Candace Bushnell just announced she is writing two books based on Carrie’s high school years.

Yes, I’ll be reading them. And yes, I’m embarrassed about it.
